Analyst, Finance & Accounting

Position Summary

Castle Peak is seeking a finance & accounting professional with 2-4 years of experience to be responsible for treasury operations, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting for the Company’s corporate entities.  The Finance & Accounting Analyst will report to the CFO of Castle Peak and will require collaboration across various business units, including its affiliated hotel operating company and brand, Trailborn. The candidate should possess strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Location: Park City, UT Office

  • Monitor invoice inbox and initiate all payments for approval using the Company workflow tool
  • Set-up all payments (wires, ACH, and checks) for Corporate entities & Fund construction draws
  • Monitor and reconcile entity cash balances, including initiating money market transfers
  • Maintain company books in Quickbooks (Castle Peak Holdings & Trailborn) including recording all journal entries, monthly Ramp/bank exports, reconciliations, and preparing monthly financial statements for review
  • Compile monthly stand-alone & consolidated financial statements for above entities
  • Utilize completed monthly financial reporting to populate corporate liquidity model with monthly actuals
  • Complete annual 1099s for corporate & fund construction draw entities
  • Create monthly invoices for intercompany reimbursements and various property fees
  • Manage updates to chart of accounts and creation/management of GL accounts as needed
  • Onboard new vendors, including coordinating receipt of W-9s and performing verbal verifications of payment instructions
  • 2-4 years of public/private corporate, real estate or investment company accounting experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree – Accounting
  • A critical thinker with strong quantitative and analytical skills who expresses their thoughts and ideas clearly both in oral and written communications
  • A proactive and organized self-starter with a positive attitude, powerful work ethic and strong attention to detail
  • Possesses sound judgment and risk management; ability to use own initiative and take responsibility for decisions and propose solutions
  • Reliable and collaborative team member with strong sense of ownership and follow-through skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and experience with corporate expense platforms (e.g., Ramp) preferred
