Associate, Growth & Strategy

Position Summary

We are looking for a hungry, analytical, and commercial Associate of Growth & Strategy to manage strategic growth initiatives and special projects across our two businesses, Trailborn and Castle Peak. This person will report directly to the Co-CEOs. The right candidate will draw from investment banking or private equity experience in the hospitality industry. This role works with both internal and external teams and reports to our Co-CEOs.

  • At Trailborn, responsibilities include:

    • Work with the Co-CEOs on new expansion opportunities

    • Create, assemble and update market research, competitor research and Strategic Analysis that define and differentiate Trailborn vs. alternatives

    • Create, assemble and update reporting materials for existing shareholders and new prospective shareholders

    • Maintain, update and analyze the company financial model in collaboration with the CFO

    At Castle Peak, this responsibilities include:

    • Work with the Co-CEOs on new growth initiatives

    • Maintain, update and analyze the company financial model in collaboration with the CFO

    • Create and update materials for existing investor meetings

    • Create and update materials for new fund vehicles and new prospective fund investors

    • 4+ years of investment banking or private equity experience within the hospitality industry

    • Commercial executor that can clearly synthesize and present information with excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, financial modeling and presentation skills

    • Analytical and financial that is an organized thinker and pays attention to detail

    • Has organizational and project management skills – seeing projects from idea through execution

    • Deep understanding of the hospitality industry, including knowledge of brand, management company, and real estate business

    • Ability to synthesize data into logical conclusions and recommendations

    • Ability to handle multiple projects at one time and meet deadlines

    • Strong and consistent problem-solving and analytical skills; strategic thinker who gets stuff done

    • Balanced combination of being collaborative and being able to take the initiative and run with a project

    • Comfortable with risk-taking and questioning the status quo

    • Fluency in all Office applications

    • Ability to work within a high-energy, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
